Diamond Sharp Award Winner February 2009
Tech. Sgt. Larnell D. Owens, 131st Medical Group health services management non-commissioned officer, was awarded the Diamond Sharp Award February UTA by Master Sgt. Carla Hampton, 131st Medical Group 1st Sergeant. Sergeant Owens was chosen for this award due to his leadership abilities. He selflessly assists subordinates in meeting Air Force fitness standards during off duty time and is a counselor for the Drug Education for Youth program (DEFY), which promotes character, leadership, and confidence for a positive and healthy lifestyle for 9-12 year old children The Diamond Sharp Award is an award given by 1st Sergeants to honor Airmen for their outstanding overall performance.
