Diamond Sharp Award

Tech. Sgt. Benjamin Davis, 131st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aerospace maintenance technician, received the Diamond Sharp Award for November UTA.

Sergeant Davis was nominated by Master Sgt. John Rawie, 131st AMXS 1st Sgt, for outstanding performance, to include: streamlining maintenance practices and improving safety for personnel, designing and implementing the training program to transition more than 40 personnel from the F-15 to the B-2 in order to ensure a transition made with honor, and building comradery and morale in the unit by proving encouragement and involving himself in the lives of both 509th and 131st servicemembers in an effort to implement total force integration.

Sergeant Davis also pursued personal goals to include: receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Science and working toward his Master's degree in Aviation Safety.

Not only did Sergeant Davis excel in a work environment, but he also took the time to volunteer in the base community. He is an active member of the Whiteman Air Force Base Spirit chapel, drives the chapel's Government Vehicle to pick up children to bring them to the chapel's AWANA program, as well as provides hot home-cooked meals to Whiteman Airmen in the dorms and families returning from the hospital.

The Diamond Sharp Award is a monthly award given by 1st Sergeant's to honor Airmen for their outstanding overall performance.
