A former maintenance technician took command of the 131st Maintenance Operations Flight and the former 131st MOF Commander assumed command of the 131st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron in a ceremony held at Lambert IAP ANGB Dec. 1.

Capt. Kirby Findley succeeded Maj. Kimbra Halter, as 131st MOF Commander. "I'll put my best efforts forward and I expect the same in return," said Findley on his new role as flight commander.

Major Kimbra Halter, who has served as 131st MOF Commander for the past six years, took command of the 131st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, which has more than 140 members assigned.

Col. Terri Chaney, 131st Maintenance Group Commander, offered advice to the two commanders. "Take care of your people. They will take care of the mission, if you take care of them."

Both units are assigned to the 131st Maintenance Group, an Air National Guard unit in St. Louis.
