239th Combat Communications Squadron

The 239th Combat Communications Squadron, based at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., is the prime cyberspace source for the Air Force's expeditionary theater deployable base communications and spectrum capabilities. Finally the unit is the cyberspace component for DOMOPS including support to FEMA, SEMA, local agencies, and domestic JTF contingency deployments though a phased systems approach building from an initial team of two to a hundred and two.

Mission

Organize, train and equip to rapidly respond as Space Command's first-on-the scene cyberspace weapon and force; provide critical Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) systems to facilitate operations up to and including a Wing or Brigade level employment.

Additionally, support critical Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) cyberspace requirements as well as Information Operations (IO) capabilities. Provide deployable communications and information (C&I) capability in support of the Air Force Joint Forces Air Component Commander(JFAC) and Joint Task Force (JTF) headquarters.
