Missouri F-15 Eagle crashes, pilot transported to St. Louis hospital

A Missouri Air National Guard F-15C Eagle aircraft crashed around 10 a.m. in Dent County near Salem, Missouri today.

The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft and was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. His condition is unknown at this time.

The plane was one of four Missouri ANG aircraft performing a training mission in the area at the time of the accident. The other three aircraft returned to Lambert IAP safely.

An emergency response team responded to the site and will begin the recovery and investigation process.

The 131st Fighter Wing is located in St. Louis, Missouri. The F-15C is a single-seat, all weather fighter aircraft.
